Webcomics!

Webcomics. Ahhh, the blessidly accesible media for humour, drama, and randomness. Worlds in colour, or black and white. And you no longer even have to spend a quarter a day to read! [ and $1.25 on Sundays. Ouch.]

Below you will find what I have oh-so-creatively named "The List." It's a list of all the webcomics that I currently read, have read, or will be reading very soon. Artistic style varies greatly from comic to comic, as does content. The criteria for a webcomic to be on this list is very simple.

1. I have to like it.

The Webcomics List:

QUESTIONABLE CONTENT
This webcomic has great use of sarcasm, an ever interesting and developing plot, an artist whose skill keeps getting better and better [ and it's great to begin with!] and a little robot in it that is both cute, and a smart ass. =) Highly Recommended.

YU + ME
This comic is done in full pages. I Highly recommend it. The art is fantastic, the characters have depth, I'm currently in love with it and am awaiting updates. As for what this comic is about.. On the website, the author describes it as a lesbian Cinderella, but I don't think that description gives the story justice. Go and read a few pages. Then come back here and tell me I'm right. This one rocks. <333333

Count Your Sheep
When you can't sleep, dream! That's the motto of this comic, which follows a little girl, her sheep friend, and her mom. The comic is cute, funny, and one of the very nice features is that, while there is a plot, you can just jump into the middle of it and not be lost.
[ Completely Family Safe =D]

Mega Tokyo
Basic plot is two gamer guys catch a flight to Tokyo and wind up stuck there and broke. They make friends in Tokyo, and cope with their situation. The comic focuses not only on the two main characters, but also an entire subcast of characters and storylines. The art is fantastic, the plot and storyline is wonderful, and there's enough humour thrown into the plot to keep you entertained constantly. Highly Recommend this comic, as well as highly recommend starting from the begining in the archives [ since it _is_ plot driven].

Bunny
The bunny comic is cute, random, funny, and strange all at the same time. You really have to work at it to not like this comic. I Highly recommend this comic. ^_^
[Randomness = exceedingly high, Family Safe!]

Queen Of Wands
Queen of Wands. It has plot, comedy, well drawn characters, and is exceedingly addicting. I recommend reading back through the archives so you know the characters.
This Comic Has Ended. You can still read the extensive archives, but no new comics will appear.
[ Randomness = medium]

Punch an' Pie
Punch an' Pie is the sequel to Queen of Wands. YAY! *celebrates* So you should go read it right now. It follows the adventures of Angela, the short tempered blonde, as the whole 'life' thing happens. Other characters in the series include Heather, Angela's even-tempered girlfriend, Angela's laid-back manager Dawna, and Angela's sullen teenage co-worker Justin.
This webcomic is being written by Aeire ( The Writer for Queen Of Wands) and illustrated [ illustrated? drawn? graphically rendered?] by Chris Daily ( of The Webcomic 'Striptease' fame). Together the two are a fun team.

misfile

Misfile
Nothing worse than misfiling a paper in the wrong folder. No wait, there is something worse. Misfiling a paper in heaven that dictates peoples' lives. When an angel of questionable character accidentally does just that, the lives of Ash and Emily change quite drastically. Ash, a male teenage highschooler with a fondness for working on cars and racing them suddenly finds himself a teenage girl. Emily, a female who just graduated from highschool and has been accepted into Harvard suddenly finds herself back two years in highschool as a junior with all of the hard work leading up to her acceptance to Harvard remaining to be re-done. While Ash and Emily try deal with the sudden changes in their lives, the angel at the root of this problem, Rumisiel, has been booted from Heaven until he can get his act together. If any of the other angels were to find out what Rumisiel had done the change would become permanant. So now it's up to Ash and Emily to try and reform Rumisiel so they can be changed back. .... but by the end of this all, maybe they won't want those lives back after all..
The comic has a lot of humor in it, while the story continues progressing forward. It's fun seeing how their entire lives have changed ( in Ash's case) and how some things ( for Emily) are the same as they always were.. but maybe this time she'll change that. =D I don't know! I'm still reading, so it's mostly conjecture for me. ;D GO read it. The story is interesting, well done, and the art helps convey a lot of visual humor and complexity of emotion.

PAWN
As the website states: "Pawn is a silly erotic fantasy comic that contains as much nudity as it contains humor and is therefore considered best suited for equally silly adults." If nudity doesn't bother you, then I highly recommend this comic. The image I'm linking with doesn't do the comic justice.
[ Warning for Nudity]

REIKO
Updated weekly, Reiko is about a little pointed-eared, red-eyed, sadistic demon girl named Reiko and her.. er... adventures.
[ Randomness = high, Warning for evil-little-girlness and gore]

The Lounge
The Lounge is written/illustrated by John Joseco, and it follows the misadventures of the sexy Lounge Manager Italy Ishida. Italy inherited The Lounge, an anime/games/comics/coffee shop, from her ailing father. She is assisted by Max, her rice obsessed protege, and eventually more characters who join the staff.

In addition to the staff, The Lounge is frequented by regulars who can often make the job hard for the Lounge crew. Aya and Alex constantly make getting work done a near impossible task for Italy. Occasionally, bastard Scott likes to show up to make his brother Max's life a veritable Hell.

Life outside of the Lounge is sometimes crazier than what happens in the store! There is always something exciting or crazy going on.

[ Warnings for nudity]

Venus Envy
A comic dealing with the main character Zoe who is a Male-to-Female transexual. The comic follows Zoe through dealing with these changes and her interactions with friends, school, etc.

[ Warnings for mature topic material. As in, this comic is funny but it does address a topic that needs a mature perspective. ]

Ill Will Press
You've seen Foamy the Squirrel at Hot Topic. Now see him in his original form! Online of course. ~_~ ... o_0 Cartoons are done as flash media, so have Flash installed.
[ Warnings for Cursing, Randomness, Ranting, Dementedness, Twisted squirrels, etc.. ]

VG Cats
It's a comic that keeps gamers in mind. While there are many in-jokes, those outside of the gaming [ computer games] community can still follow along and enjoy the exceedingly random sense of humour the artist has. How do I know this? I'm not a computer-game person and I still find it hilarious. Art is well done and so are the punchlines. Highly Recommend.
[Randomness = insanely, warnings for: Possible Goryness/Highly obscure gamer references, Derranged Humour..]

Oh My Gods!
A Pagan themed comic that pokes fun at religions of all sorts, including Paganism. Updated very irregularly. randomness factor = high
[ Warning for "mockery and humour made of various religions." If you're going to read this comic, you need a sense of humour ;D ]
